Job Summary:

The IT Technician is a key member of the technical team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all networks, hardware, and communication systems within the organization. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Implementation of network infrastructure, including wired and wireless devices.">
  • Configuration and management of desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, video conferencing systems, and peripheral devices.">
  • Management of CCTV surveillance systems, including cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and monitoring tools.">
  • Installation and management of IP-based telephone systems.">
  • Monitoring of IT hardware, internet connections, and network devices.">
  • Management of the IT Service Desk ticketing system.">
  • Troubleshooting of technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.">
  • Maintenance of updated records of IT assets.">
  • Development and updating of system documentation.">
  • Adherence to HSE regulations and company policies.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical, or an equivalent field with at least 3+ years of relevant experience.">
  • Alternatively, DAE in IT, Telecom, or Electronics with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.">
  • Previous experience working in Oil & Gas fields or rigs is highly valued.">
  • CCNA/HCNA, NSE-4 training courses or certifications are preferable.">
  • Hands-on experience with UBNT network / Wi-Fi equipment & Sophos Firewalls.">
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NMS, FTP & File Servers.">
  • Strong communication skills and a hardworking aptitude to ensure effective task management and dedication to work.">

Working Conditions:

  • ">
  • This is a contract position with a rotation schedule of 45 days on and 15 days off.">
  • The ideal candidate will be based in a field area.">
