Job Overview

Purchasing Operations Expertise Required

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, from evaluating vendors to arranging timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received.
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors for materials, equipment, or supplies.
  • Manage purchases in accordance with established purchase orders.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Purchase high-quality materials at competitive prices through comparative evaluations.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and quantities for ordered items.
  • Analyze market trends and delivery systems to assess material availability.
  • Resolve vendor grievances and disputes.
  • Transfer purchased items to the inventory store and obtain receiving on invoice.
  • Notify the Quality Assurance department immediately upon receiving items/purchases at the store.
  • Submit purchase invoices to the accounting department for settlement of creditor accounts.

Requirements

Academic and Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/M.A) in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
