Software Test Specialist

Job Description

Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications to ensure software quality and reliability. This involves creating detailed test plans, executing tests, and documenting findings.

Evaluate product performance through functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and user stories.

Identify, log, and track bugs using tools to facilitate issue resolution. Perform API testing and database validation to guarantee data integrity.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage by identifying areas for enhancement.

Validate UI/UX implementation against design specifications to ensure a seamless user experience.

Participate in sprint planning and release readiness activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices to maintain product excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
  • Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing practices.
  • Experience with testing tools like Selenium, Postman, Cypress, or similar.
  • Familiarity with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and database validation (e.g., MySQL).
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with writing test plans, test cases, and documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
