The Medical Receptionist role involves providing administrative support to the laboratory department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process laboratory tests prescribed by doctors and ensure accurate results are reported to patients or their representatives.
  • Brief patients on laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring specimens are collected correctly.
  • Verify test reports before releasing them to concerned individuals.
  • Manage cash transactions and maintain records of excess/shortage according to laboratory policy.
  • Confirm test requirements with patients and provide necessary instructions for specimen collection.
  • Handle inquiries regarding laboratory tests and schedule appointments for special tests.
  • Assist as a Phlebotomist at collection points when required.
Requirements

To excel in this position, you should have:

  • A minimum of two years' relevant work experience, including one year as a Phlebotomist.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications and software.
  • Knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts.
