Medical Support Assistant

The position of Medical Support Assistant is a critical role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. As a Medical Support Assistant, you will be responsible for coordinating laboratory tests, processing samples, and ensuring timely delivery of test results.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are organized, and have strong interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of laboratory tests
  • Providing clear instructions to patients regarding laboratory procedures
  • Handling cash transactions and maintaining records of excess/shortage of cash
  • Confirming test requirements with patients and providing necessary verbal/written instructions
  • Responding to telephonic and in-person inquiries regarding laboratory tests

You should have at least two years of relevant work experience, including one year as a Phlebotomist. This role requires good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills, and a good command over the use of computers and basic applications. Flexibility to perform shift duties is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Laboratory Test Processing: Ensure accurate and efficient processing of laboratory tests.
  • Patient Communication: Provide clear instructions to patients regarding laboratory procedures.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions and maintain records of excess/shortage of cash.
  • Test Confirmation: Confirm test requirements with patients and provide necessary verbal/written instructions.
  • Customer Service: Respond to telephonic and in-person inquiries regarding laboratory tests.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least two years of relevant work experience, including one year as a Phlebotomist.
  • Skillset: Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills, and a good command over the use of computers and basic applications.
