Senior WordPress Plugin Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior WordPress Plugin Developer to join our team.

About the Role
  • This position involves developing, maintaining and enhancing existing plugins, as well as collaborating with technical writers to create developer documentation.
  • You will work closely with designers to produce new extensions for existing plugins, and contribute to pre-production demonstrations and product design.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of PHP, OOP, Namespaces, Traits & Design Patterns, and intermediate to advanced JavaScript skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing high-quality plugins that meet the requirements of our clients.
  • Maintaining and updating existing plugins to ensure they remain relevant and efficient.
  • Collaborating with designers to create mockups and wireframes for pre-production demonstrations and product design.
  • Contributing to the development of new extensions for existing plugins.
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of PHP, including knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Strong understanding of Namespaces, Traits & Design Patterns.
  • Intermediate to advanced JavaScript skills.
  • Experience with Vue.js and/or React is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of WordPress Actions/Hooks and APIs.
  • Ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly with minimal guidance.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
  • Experience in writing blogs and tutorials is a plus.
  • Familiarity with mockup tools like Balsamiq is a plus.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as PHP Unit is a plus.
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn and grow skills.
  • A sense of humor.
