Senior Network Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain large-scale IP networks.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the OSI reference model, TCP/IP protocol, Ethernet/layer 2 switching/VLAN principles, and mainstream WAN link technologies.

They will also be knowledgeable about OSPF/ISIS/BGP, MPLS L3VPN, VPLS/VLL/CCC L2VPN, MPLS TE/Multicast/QoS, and network management protocols such as SNMP.

In addition, they will have experience with Datacom equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, and be able to configure and debug them at an advanced level.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and recreate problems in a lab environment.

Experience in scheduling and executing planned hardware/software changes is essential, as well as 3 years of operations experience in a service provider or telecom environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with P, PE, and RR router architecture
  • Advanced-level diagnostic testing and analysis skills using test equipment
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Desired understanding of telecom equipment
  • Extensive experience consulting on issues related to delivering satisfactory network services to customers
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and recreate problems in a lab environment
  • Experience in scheduling and executing planned hardware/software changes
  • 3 years of operations experience in a service provider or telecom environment
Education

A BS/MS in Electrical (Telecom/Electronics) from a well-reputed University is preferred.
