Senior PHP Web Developer Leader

Oarans is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior PHP Web Developer to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in web applications using PHP.

Job Description:

This position involves designing, developing, and implementing high-quality web applications while adhering to strict coding standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, ensuring project success, and driving innovation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of new PHP web applications, utilizing industry-leading tools and technologies.
  • Project Understanding: Develop a deep comprehension of each project's goals and strategy from inception to completion, guaranteeing alignment with business objectives.
  • SDLC Principles: Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles when working with or leading a large development team, ensuring efficient project management and delivery.
  • Database Expertise: Utilize MySQL to design complex queries for high-performance databases, maximizing data retrieval efficiency.
  • Front-end Technologies: Possess excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and jQuery, enabling seamless user experience.
  • Programming Skills: Demonstrate strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and SQL, ensuring robust and scalable application development.
  • Object-Oriented Programming: Have a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, facilitating modular and maintainable code.
  • PHP Frameworks: Experience working with major PHP frameworks, including CodeIgniter and Zend, streamlining application development.
  • CMS Experience: Strong background in commercial and open-source content management systems, such as Joomla, OpenCart, Drupal, WordPress, Zen Cart, and others, enhancing content management capabilities.
  • Agile Development: Proven ability to thrive in an Agile development environment, specifically SCRUM and Test Driven Development (TDD), ensuring rapid iteration and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Strong programming skills in PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Excellent knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Experience working with major PHP frameworks, such as CodeIgniter and Zend.
  • Background in commercial and open-source content management systems.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
