Job Description:
Purpose of the Position:
This role is responsible for the operational and tactical oversight and monitoring of university-wide activities to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Oversight:
- Oversee the implementation of policies across the university to ensure compliance with requisite regulations.
- Develop monitoring systems to report and track university activities in line with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership on improving processes to facilitate smoother functions at the university.

Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to compliance frameworks by collaborating with internal departments and align their activities with institutional policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
MPhil degree in social sciences and related fields.
A minimum of 20 years of experience in a public organization is required. At least 12 years of experience in government relations, public administration, preferably in a university or government training institution.
10-12 years of teaching experience in a public or private academic institution.

Knowledge/Skills/Certifications:
Proficiency in developing and managing systems to monitor institutional processes, ensuring adherence to internal and external policies.
Strong understanding of government processes, funding mechanisms, and public policy.
Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in reports & proposals.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with the university and/or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
