Deputy Chief Manager – Consolidation & Projects

Serving a senior role since 2024.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the company's Estimated Revenue Requirement (ERR) / Final Revenue Requirement (FRR) / Motion for Review (MFR) & Review of Estimated Revenue Requirement (RERR) Petitions, overseeing relevant departments and coordinating with Gas Purchases, Finance, Sales, Billing, UFG Division, and other departments to gather required data.
  • Oversee and coordinate interdepartmental activities related to anticipated gas purchases, future expansion in customer base, sales projections, and finalization of UFG targets.
  • Collect and prepare data from various departments at regular intervals to file tariff petitions with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely determination of ERR/FRR/MFR/RERR, along with supporting schedules claiming the company's revenue requirements.
  • Evaluate and document information/data pertaining to petitions with logical reasoning and quantifiable data, analyzing and discussing responses received from regulatory queries, re-coordinating inappropriate responses, and sending final answers.
  • Maintain a smooth relationship with regulatory officials for favorable decisions and supervise the preparation of reasons for variations and determination of shortfall in revenue requirement on a periodical basis.
  • Review draft reports on RLNG Cost of Service data in coordination with Accounts, Finance, and RLNG departments, ensuring data acquisition for RLNG volume, exchange rate, depreciation, revenue expenses, R-LNG retainage rate, UFG rate, and Federal Excise duty from relevant departments.
  • Compile long-term investment plans with respective departments, preparing periodical reports as required by regulatory bodies, including R-LNG business.
  • Prepare the company's revenue requirement case on a periodical basis, ensuring revenue petitions are filed on time, responding to queries from regulatory bodies, and supervising preparation of studies for new tariff regimes.
Key Skills:
  • CA/ACMA or ACCA/MBA degree with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to evaluate complex data, and create logical reasoning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining relationships with senior management, regulatory bodies, and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
