Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. As an integral part of our BPM Financial Services Operations and Delivery department, you will play a crucial role in various segments including bookkeeping, corporate tax structuring, financial reporting, and ad-hoc tasks.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified ACCA or CA Finalist who is eager to learn and contribute to our company's success. Fresh graduates with Bachelors in Accounting & Finance and B.Com are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in working with our partners, Toronto-based Accounting & Tax Practice. You will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records (payable and receivable), preparing statements and management reports, analyzing tax implications, and developing tax-efficient strategies.

You will collaborate with partners, providing operational and ad-hoc support, while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations. Additionally, you will assist in analyses supporting decision-making and work on various tasks supporting the Senior Partner.


Responsibilities
  • Maintain precise financial records (payable and receivable).
  • Prepare statements and management reports.
  • Analyze tax implications and develop tax-efficient strategies.
  • Collaborate with partners, providing operational and ad-hoc support.
  • Evaluate compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in financial analysis supporting decision-making.
  • Work on various tasks supporting the Senior Partner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Fresh graduate and/or minimum 1 year experience in Assurance - Audit, Tax, or Financial Reporting within a professional services firm.
  • BBA Accounting & Finance or B.Com.
  • Fully qualified ACCA or part-qualified CA (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with IFRS and GAAP; detail oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); Preferable knowledge of Caseware or Countable.
