As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing designs for furniture and interior solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless coordination between design and production teams and aligning manufacturing processes with innovative design outputs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Optimization: Develop and optimize manufacturing designs for furniture and interior solutions, ensuring feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Work closely with the production and operations teams to align design output with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Wastage Reduction: Perform wastage calculations to optimize material usage and reduce production costs.
  • Order Processing: Oversee the order processing cycle, ensuring accurate design execution from concept to final product.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source cost-effective materials while maintaining quality standards.
  • Design Improvement: Implement design improvements based on production feedback and market trends.
  • CAD Skills: Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) to create detailed technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality assurance protocols in design execution.
  • New Product Development: Support new product development (NPD) initiatives with innovative and practical design solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing or related field).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within the furniture, construction, or related industries.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Knowledge of wastage calculation and optimization techniques in design and production.
  • Ability to manage design projects while ensuring timely execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
