Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our strategic growth initiatives. As a key driver of VelocityOne's success, you will be responsible for crafting and executing strategies to position our software products and services in the market. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations, expand our market share, and achieve ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to promote VelocityOne's software products and services.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and client prospects.
  • Product Positioning: Collaborate with product teams to refine offerings based on market trends and client needs.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
  • Sales Management: Drive the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Industry Insights: Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly track and report on business development metrics and KPIs to the leadership team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the software industry.
  • Proven success in developing and executing growth strategies for software products and services.
  • Expertise in ERP, CMMS, CAFM, and custom development solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and business development tools.
