As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch technical assistance to staff, employees, and students across various campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive technical support through various channels, including the helpdesk system, email, or in-person interactions.
  • Detect and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues promptly.
  • Assist users with software installations, updates, and configurations efficiently.
  • Maintain network connectivity across campuses by troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues effectively.
  • Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and access points professionally.
  • Offer guidance on IT policies, tools, and best practices to users, promoting effective use of technology.
  • Support new staff and students during onboarding, setting up accounts and ensuring seamless access to university systems.
  • Maintain routine computer, printer, and IT equipment upkeep regularly.
  • Monitor system performance and escalate critical issues to senior IT staff members.
  • Log and track all support tickets in the university's helpdesk system accurately.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT team to resolve complex issues and implement projects successfully.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, as well as common office productivity tools like MS Office 365.
  • Strong networking skills, including understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and resolve them effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle user queries professionally.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role (fresh graduates with relevant internships may also apply).
