Product Categorization Specialist

This role involves ensuring the accuracy and consistency of product categorization across our platform.

  1. Map and identify attributes that require attention from sellers, rectifying them as necessary.
  2. Categorize products accurately to prevent miscategorization.
  3. Analyze product listings for consistency and quality control.
  4. Take corrective action on sellers engaging in intentional miscategorization.
  5. Collaborate with category managers and sellers to maintain compliance with category guidelines.

2. Tracking Requests from Commercial Teams

  1. Monitor and manage requests submitted by commercial teams related to miscategorization.
  2. Track attribute fixing requests from commercial teams.
  3. Ensure timely resolution of raised requests and provide updates as necessary.
  4. Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve categorization issues.

3. Reporting & Analysis

  1. Generate weekly/monthly reports on miscategorization resolutions.
  2. Produce reports on attribute fixes completed.
  3. Maintain a record of category changes and search improvements.
  4. Perform impact analysis before and after implementing changes.

4. KPI Monitoring

  1. Regularly monitor miscategorized products and attribute fill rate KPIs.
  2. When metrics are below target, retrieve data dumps and address miscategorization and attribute issues.

5. Seller Education

  1. Collaborate with engagement teams to develop educational content for sellers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience in e-commerce, product management, or categorization is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Excel or data visualization tools is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
