Production Operations Specialist

Job Description

The role of a Production Operations Specialist is critical in ensuring the efficient execution of production activities. Responsible for carrying out, following, and developing production and maintenance activities; ensuring that the planned production program is executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Realize the production program in accordance with processes and desired quality parameters. Maintain accurate records related to production. Continuously monitor production productivity and material usage, and engage in productivity improvement activities.
  • Implement daily production plans according to processes, share production schedules with team members. Ensure effective application of lubrication and maintenance programs for production line machines.
  • Keep track of machine failures/stops, analyze causes, and develop proposals to prevent recurrence.
  • Plan maintenance and lubrication of the line, assign tasks to operators, and maintain necessary records. Plan and order spare parts. Develop suggestions to prevent failures, investigate causes, and support team management in failures.
  • Train operators for maintenance, repair, and cleaning of machines under their responsibility.
  • Educate and train staff on equipment operation and maintenance. Make necessary modifications to the production line. Monitor staff performance and foster teamwork.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities according to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plans.
  • Ensure compliance with discipline and safety procedures in the plant.
  • Determine and announce daily production targets according to weekly plans with approval from senior managers.
  • Assess material needs based on the production program.
  • Monitor daily production material stocks and activities.
  • Conduct field, machine, and equipment cleaning and layout checks to meet quality and safety standards, minimize waste, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and environmental policies.
  • Complete assignments given by superiors.

Establish and implement Quality, Food Safety, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems.

Education Requirements

• B.Sc. or B.E degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
