Lead Retail Analytics Expert

The ideal candidate will spearhead the establishment of a world-class analytics team in Pakistan, focusing on driving growth and efficiency within retail and SME customers. This role will collaborate closely with business heads, product leaders, and enabling functions to develop a data-driven strategy, leveraging advanced analytics use cases for enhanced customer experience and profit maximization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and lead the Retail Analytics team in Pakistan, ensuring a strong foundation for supporting individual and SME customers.
  • Advise on data strategy for the retail bank, integrating internal and external data to optimize value for Mashreq Bank Pakistan.
  • Design and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) required for executive, business, product, digital, frontline, and operational reviews at country and group levels.
  • Identify, prioritize, design, and deliver advanced analytics use cases to drive business growth and cost optimization across all verticals within the Retail Bank.
  • Partner with stakeholders to operationalize effective customer contact management frameworks.
  • Implement latest technologies in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and robotics for continuous digitization of all data interactions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to build consumption and business utilization architectures for third-party, partner, and journey-generated data.
  • Work closely with chapters and tribes to digitize data reporting, forecasting, and planning across a fully digital organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in data and analytics in retail banking or related industries, with at least 7 years in a managerial role.
  • Prior hands-on experience in all four streams of analytics: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive.
  • Strong data engineering skills in traditional and modern ETL tools, with exposure to big data environments.
  • Hands-on experience in AI/ML model development, validation, and deployment.
  • Deep understanding of digital data, digital MI, and digital analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate analytics resources.
  • Sound understanding of customer experience and implications of data and analytics in a retail business for CX.
  • Prior experience in risk analytics in retail or SME banking analytics.
