Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

This role sits at the intersection of data, business acumen and technology, shaping the company's decision-making processes with insightful analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accessing large datasets for planned analyses using SQL, Python, and similar tools to inform business strategy.
  • Designing and developing BI dashboards for various organizational metrics and indicators using industry standards.
  • Conducting full lifecycle analysis including requirements, activities, and design to deliver high-quality insights.
  • Defining KPIs, metrics, and driving data governance through standardization and communication to ensure data accuracy.
  • Extracting and sharing data with stakeholders using Dashboards/Reports or Google Sheets to facilitate informed decision making.
  • Creating documentation and presentations for management to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Developing analysis and reporting capabilities; monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify areas for improvement.
  • Adapting to queries, report writing, and presenting findings to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Researching and validating entity data using internal and external sources to ensure accuracy.
  • Validating entity reference data in a central account database to maintain data integrity.
  • Exceptional management reconciliation and reporting skills to ensure timely delivery of actionable insights.
  • Analysis, specification, testing, and implementation of interfaces, workflow solutions, and reference data solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Ownership of allocated work throughout its entire life cycle to deliver high-quality results.
  • Developing new models to address business needs and identifying improvements to existing solutions to drive growth.
  • Participating in the design, implementation, and interpretation of experiments/trials for continuous refinement of on-going strategies to inform business decisions.
  • Responsible for data quality and timely delivery of reports that provide actionable insights.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for analytics, tools, and processes to ensure knowledge retention.
  • Preparing and delivering Data Analytics & Reporting trainings to upskill team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, business/economics, or related field to provide a strong foundation in analytical techniques.
  • 3+ year work experience in analytics, closely working with product and commercials in an e-commerce company to gain practical expertise.
  • Experience in e-commerce, internet, and/or digital media to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Experience building, implementing, and/or maintaining predictive models on very large datasets to drive business outcomes.
  • Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel to perform data manipulation and analysis.
  • Skills in Python, R, or similar tools are a plus to expand analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets to provide accurate insights.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate data and information into actionable insights to drive business growth.
