Procurement Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to assume a leadership position, overseeing the strategic management of procurement processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management and relevant industry experience.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and updating the procurement system, liaising with the Head of Supply Chain to update vendor selection criteria, and monitoring the receipt of purchase orders.

Key responsibilities include assigning tasks to team members, calculating lead times, and negotiating with vendors/suppliers to meet procurement needs.

A critical aspect of this role is planning imports, considering material requirement timelines and freight delivery times, and searching for suitable vendors.

The selected candidate will be responsible for following up on all concerns, maintaining import updates, and sharing information with the Head of Supply Chain on a regular basis.

Additionally, they will review shipping documents and other certificates, ensure proper maintenance of import documentation, negotiate freight rates and services, and coordinate with stores regarding stock levels.

This role also involves conducting performance monitoring sessions, reviewing and revising performance standards, and conducting selection interviews for new staff.

Required skills and qualifications include achievement and result orientation, technical knowledge of procurement, negotiation and interpersonal skills, accountability, decision quality, and problem-solving skills.

Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a relevant field is essential for this position.
