Job Title: Virtual Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Care Coordinator to provide administrative support to healthcare providers remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient schedules, cancellations, and rescheduling for healthcare providers.
  • Verify patient insurance and eligibility prior to appointments.
  • Conduct patient intake calls, collect medical history, and document information accurately in the electronic health record system.
  • Handle inbound and outbound patient communications via phone, text, and email.
  • Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations under physician supervision.
  • Coordinate referrals, lab tests, imaging, and follow-up care.
  • Prepare and update patient charts, progress notes, and documentation before provider visits.
  • Support telehealth sessions by guiding patients with setup and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and internal confidentiality policies.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office or virtual care environment and be well-versed in electronic health record systems, scheduling, patient coordination, and HIPAA compliance. Proficiency with tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and Microsoft Office is required.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or higher; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare or medical administration preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office, clinical setting, or virtual healthcare environment.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of software applications and digital tools.
  • Ability to work U.S.-based hours (CST/EST/PST depending on clinic schedule).
