**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Wash Sector Project Evaluator to assess the effectiveness of our water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) project in Pakistan. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in evaluating WASH projects, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.

The evaluator will be responsible for assessing the project's outcomes, including Open Defecation Free (ODF) status, hygiene behaviour change, and community-managed water supply models. They will also evaluate the project's alignment with local and national priorities, as well as its integration into government systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WASH programming, with a focus on climate resilience and gender responsiveness. They will be able to conduct field visits, gather data from stakeholders, and analyze existing health data to assess improvements in waterborne disease rates.

The evaluation will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative techniques to gather relevant data. The evaluator will finalize the methodology, which will be approved during the inception phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the project's outcomes, including ODF status, hygiene behaviour change, and community-managed water supply models
  • Assess the project's alignment with local and national priorities, as well as its integration into government systems
  • Conduct field visits to gather data from stakeholders
  • Analyze existing health data to assess improvements in waterborne disease rates
  • Develop a comprehensive final evaluation report

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field, such as public health, environmental science, or social sciences
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading and managing third-party evaluations and research
  • Significant demonstrable experience of producing high-quality assessment/evaluation reports for international development organizations
  • Familiarity with local context and languages, especially Sindhi
