**Job Title:** Educational Leader
OverviewThe role of the Secondary School Principal is to promote high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching.
This includes monitoring school progress across key performance indicators, remaining focused on improvement of the school and of every single student.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a culture of mutual respect, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities- Promote high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching.
- Recruit, develop, empower, support, encourage, and retain the best teachers in the school.
- Develop a culture of mutual and continuous learning, respect, collaboration, and coordination.
- Recruit quality teachers by implementing the Teacher Selection process.
- Develop and implement a school improvement plan based on need analysis.
- Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and formal/informal classroom observations.
- Work on teacher quality through demo sessions and constant feedback.
- Monitor student performance through regular re-checking of student copies and test papers.
- Organize, manage, and monitor co-curricular activities, timetable, assembly, periods, displays, library, and laboratories.
- Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty.
- Conduct term tests and examinations in a transparent and timely manner.
- Motivate teachers and focus on teacher retention.
- Build strong relationships with the community to promote education for both male and female children.
- Maintain required students' strength within the school through effective enrolment strategies.
- Carry out outreach for teachers and maintain the CV bank at all times.
- Coordinate staff hiring, retaining, performance management, and other HR-related matters with the Area and Regional HR team.
- Maintain school discipline and encourage positive character building of students and staff.
- Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
- Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters.
- Maintain school accounts accurately and ensure they are up to date.
- Ensure maintenance of buildings and premises.
- Supply and manage utility services promptly.
- Coordinate with the supervisor for board-related matters.
- Implement TCF policies and submit reports and documents on time.
- Demonstrated achievement and leadership skills.
- Able to motivate self and others, communicate effectively, build real and meaningful relationships.
- Take ownership of self-growth and of others.
- Passionate to serve as a positive change agent.
- Age: 23-45 years.

- Minimum Qualification: Graduate (BSc, B.A., B.Com., BPA).
- Preferable Qualification: Professional Degree (B-Ed/M-Ed).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience or equivalent.
