Solar PV System Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar PV System Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing solar PV systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Job Description:

The Solar PV System Design Engineer will provide engineering oversight throughout the proposal and design phase of projects. This includes all aspects of a solar PV system, including module selection, string sizing, ground coverage ratio, inverter selection, inverter power factor requirements, inverter loading ratio, and cable sizing.

You will also be responsible for designing solar PV systems, including 1-line diagrams and array layouts. Additionally, you will demonstrate structural, mechanical, and electrical design skills with the ability to generate accurate, highly detailed construction drawings and documents using AutoCAD.

Closely collaborate with project development and construction teams in the design, development, and construction of solar PV systems. Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices to tasks, particularly when analyzing current technical tools, and evaluating tools.

Perform energy simulation analysis using PVsyst to help Finance and Business Development team acquire new projects. Collaborate with suppliers and 3rd-party personnel to facilitate design and development of solar PV systems. Assist in creating 30% and IFC PVsyst reports. Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving.
