Job Summary:
As a Client Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading onboarding processes, managing client service delivery, and overseeing accounting operations for assigned accounts. This role requires strong leadership, accounting expertise, and problem-solving skills to ensure a high level of service, efficiency, and accuracy across client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the onboarding process for new and existing clients, ensuring a seamless transition and effective service implementation.
  • Analyze financial data, reports, and key deliverables to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage revenue recognition, journal entries, cash receipts, and related transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Oversee bill pay processes, including invoice coding, approval workflows, and vendor payments, to maintain timely and efficient payment schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve urgent client accounting and finance-related issues promptly to minimize disruption and ensure continuity of service.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend system and workflow improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, to provide accurate financial statements and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise payroll transactions, expense reports, and cost allocations for assigned clients to maintain accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff, providing regular feedback and guidance to support their professional development and growth.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to identify errors and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Experience managing full-cycle accounting operations, including month-end close.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems, such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and deadlines.

Requirements:
  • A stable and high-speed internet connection.
  • The ability to work full-time during U.S. business hours (or align with client requirements).
  • Comfortable with video conferencing, project management, and collaboration tools.
