Diagnostic Imaging Assistant Role

The role of a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant involves supporting medical professionals in the performance of diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and accurate diagnoses.

  • This includes assisting in all ultrasound procedures, including interventional procedures performed by consultants.
  • Read and understand radiology requests for ultrasound procedures to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Type radiology reports and obtain signatures from radiologists to maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain inventory according to daily requirements to ensure efficient operations.
  • Timely print and handover reports to patients to enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Meet and greet customers on the floor and provide assistance to create a positive experience.
  • Follow safety procedures, including radiation safety for patients and staff, to minimize risks and ensure a safe environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in rooms according to hospital standards and infection control policies to prevent the spread of infections.
Requirements
  • Hold an Intermediate or Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.
  • Have at least one year of relevant experience from a reputable hospital or healthcare facility.
  • Demonstrate an excellent command of radiology-related medical terminology, typing, and filing skills.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, particularly effective communication skills.
  • Show knowledge and proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively independently and in teams.
  • Be willing to work in shift duties to meet operational needs.
