Clinical Nurse Educator

As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nurses. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and advancing the field of nursing education.
Key Responsibilities- Assessing Learning Needs: Evaluate the learning needs of nursing staff and ensure nominations and attendance for continuing educational sessions as per needs.
- Coordinating Educational Programs: Coordinate division-wide nursing educational programs and work with clinicians to discuss patient care treatment regimens and quality issues.
- Developing Annual Sessions: Develop specialty-based annual educational sessions, competency-based orientation (CBO) for new staff, and monitor credentialing of nursing staff.
- Establishing Standards: Meet with unit staff to establish standards of care, monitor delivery of care, and conduct clinical reviews.
- Certifying Performance: Certify and supervise clinical performance of interns and staff, and maintain records of clinical incidents.
- A baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school and a valid PNC license are essential for this role.
- Certification in ACLS/BLS, Safe Medication Administration, Intravenous Cannulation, and Conscious Sedation (as applicable) is also required.
- At least three years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, with excellent ability to train staff on skills and provide knowledge, is necessary.
- Expertise in clinical nursing practices, awareness of current clinical and research literature, and ability to effectively work independently and in teams are highly valued.
