Director Research Position

The ideal candidate will have experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies and evaluations, preferably in education or development sectors.

A strong track record of securing grants, publishing academic articles, and teaching university-level courses with supervisory experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive research strategy and implementation plan for teams in Lahore, Pakistan.
  • Manage all aspects of research projects, including planning, execution, and dissemination of results.
  • Spearhead long-term research objectives, provide consultation and support to key evaluation components of programs, and disseminate research findings.
  • Contribute to building field capacity among researchers, practitioners, and policy makers at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Direct and oversee research at ITA, spearheading, directing, and overseeing all research projects from design to implementation, analysis, and project development.
  • Disseminate and publish research findings, briefs, research publications, and articles written for various audiences to advance the organization's work.
  • Investigate grant opportunities, write and develop grant proposals to support sustainability of a research team, supervise, and direct others on the team to develop, write, and submit proposals.
  • Collaborate with leadership, contribute to organizational development by supporting grant writing efforts, attending staff meetings, and participating in operational efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies and evaluations.
  • Strong track record of securing grants, publishing academic articles, and teaching university-level courses with supervisory experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a team environment.
