Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead our US federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning efforts. The successful candidate will have expertise in reviewing complex returns, advising on tax strategy, and mentoring tax staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns, including corporate, partnership, individual, and trust returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective tax processes and systems.
  • Provide guidance on mergers, acquisitions, entity structuring, and other strategic transactions.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff; foster a culture of professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of tax processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation and/or CPA/EA certification preferred).
  • Strong experience with US federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
  • Proven background in reviewing corporate, partnership, individual, and/or trust tax returns.
  • Solid understanding of US tax law and reporting standards (ASC 740 is a plus).
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring tax teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
