Job Title: School Leadership Position

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a school in an urban area. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong educational background and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching, monitoring school progress across key performance indicators.
  • Recruit, develop, empower, support, encourage, and retain top teachers in the school.
  • Develop a culture of mutual and continuous learning, respect, collaboration, and coordination.
  • Implement effective teacher selection processes.
  • Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and formal/informal observations.
  • Work on teacher quality through demo sessions and constant feedback.
  • Monitor student performance by re-checking student work and test papers.
  • Organize, manage, and monitor co-curricular activities, timetables, assemblies, periods, displays, libraries, and laboratories.
  • Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty.
  • Conduct term tests and examinations in a transparent and timely manner.
  • Motivate teachers and focus on teacher retention.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE COMMUNITY AND CREATE AWARENESS ABOUT EDUCATION FOR BOTH MALE AND FEMALE CHILDREN.
  • ENSURE REQUIRED STUDENT STRENGTH IS MAINTAINED THROUGH EFFECTIVE ENROLMENT STRATEGIES.
  • CARRY OUT EFFECTIVE OUTREACH OF TEACHERS AND ACTIVELY MAINTAIN THE CV BANK.
  • COORDINATE WITH AREA AND REGIONAL HR TEAM FOR STAFF HIRING, RETENTION, PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & OTHER HR RELATED MATTERS.
  • Maintain school discipline and encourage positive character building of students and staff.
  • Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
  • Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters.
  • Maintain school accounts accurately and ensure they are up to date.
  • Ensure maintenance of building and premises.
  • Supply and manage utility services in a timely manner.
  • Understand TCF policies and implement school activities accordingly.
  • Timely submission of reports and other documents.
  • Coordinate with the supervisor for board-related matters.

  • Educational background in education or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to motivate and inspire others.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
