Financial Advisory Specialist Role

This position requires a collaborative and analytical professional who can provide timely advisory support and partner with other functions to address business issues as we transform our operations.

The successful candidate will contribute to the wider finance team to improve financial performance and will be responsible for providing guidance on local policy and leading practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting regularly with regional teams to oversee analytics processes and identify engagement teams requiring outreach from the SL Mercury Business Advisor.
  • Providing expertise on financial metrics and exception reporting to inform proactive outreach strategies.
  • Facilitating training for client-serving teams on Mercury and effective financial management practices.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across borders, service lines, and industries.
  • Coaching and problem-solving with more junior professionals to develop their skills through shadowing, advising, and informal training.

Client Support includes reviewing pricing plans, advising on service line GDS leverage targets, and ensuring engagement teams are prepared for client negotiations from a financial perspective.

Analytic and Decision-Making Responsibilities involve using strong analytical skills to identify partners/engagement teams needing outreach and making timely, accurate decisions to ensure responses are provided on a one-stop basis where possible.

Requirements for this role include a minimum of two years' experience in a client-driven professional environment in a financial/business capacity, excellent IT skills, and a strong work ethic for customer service.

Ideal qualifications include a finance-related degree or studying for an accountancy qualification, innovative thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
