Embedded Software Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced embedded software specialist to develop and maintain cutting-edge industrial-grade embedded solutions for various microcontrollers. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and testing firmware for new and existing hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy embedded software solutions for multiple microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, nrf52/53).
  • Design and implement efficient firmware for hardware systems using C/C++ programming languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
  • Conduct thorough debugging, performance testing, and optimization of embedded systems to meet required specifications.
  • Implement custom drivers and interfaces for hardware components and handle real-time data processing efficiently.
  • Document code, design, and technical specifications to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in embedded software development with various microcontroller platforms.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN) and wireless protocols (Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi, ZigBee, MQTT).
  • Strong understanding of hardware peripherals, sensors, and their integration into embedded systems.
  • Proficient in C/C++ and experience with various embedded IDEs and frameworks.
  • Experience in developing RTOS and bare-metal applications.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IoT devices and cloud integration (AWS IoT, Google Cloud, Azure IoT).
  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) for embedded systems.
  • Experience with real-time data acquisition and processing.
