Financial Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to lead our financial operations.

This is a key role that involves overseeing all aspects of our financial management, including managing accounting transactions, preparing budget forecasts, publishing financial statements on time, and handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

  • Manage accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare budget forecasts, taking into account historical data and industry trends.
  • Publish financial statements in a timely manner, providing stakeholders with accurate and reliable information.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings, ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, minimizing any discrepancies and optimizing cash flow.
  • Ensure timely bank payments, maintaining good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements, providing valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Report on the company's financial health and liquidity, providing stakeholders with accurate and reliable information.
  • Audit financial transactions and documents, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and compliant.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Financial Manager, you will need:

  • Work experience as a Financial Manager or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
  • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
