Project Planning Expert

CIV Tech Associates, a leading engineering consultant firm, provides design and supervision services on various projects including buildings, hydropower, dams, and the highway sector.

The company is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Expert to join their team. This full-time on-site opportunity involves managing detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases from design to commissioning, supervising resource allocation, tracking progress, and performing budget control.

The successful candidate will have expertise in conducting delay analysis to determine the causes and impacts of any project delays and recommending corrective actions. Additionally, they will generate progress reports, incorporate changes into the schedule, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is typically required. A Master's degree or specialized certifications in project management or construction management is an advantage.
  • Experience: More than 12 years of experience with project planning, preferably on dams and hydropower projects.
  • Necessary Skills:
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6: Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 for scheduling, resource allocation, and delay analysis.
  • Project Scheduling and Time Management: Strong understanding of project lifecycle, critical path method (CPM), and ability to develop and monitor detailed schedules.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Ability to estimate project costs, track expenses, and ensure the project stays within budget.
  • Delay Analysis and Problem Solving: Expertise in delay analysis techniques (e.g., Impacted As-Planned, Time Impact Analysis) to identify causes of delays, assess their impact, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Proficient in generating detailed project reports, maintaining documentation, and ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project.
