Job Description:

The Utilities Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing solar projects through the utility application process, ensuring successful transition into the construction phase for all parties.

This individual will excel in maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders while exhibiting exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Manage Intake Meetings: Coordinate intake meetings from Land Sales to utilities to facilitate project progress.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct preliminary due diligence on project documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Utility Application Process: Utilize available resources to initiate the utility application process, documenting and tracking progress per established procedure.
  • Project Applications: Submit project applications to the utility companies in a timely manner.
  • Data Management: Administer and update NES databases for all utility companies and projects, facilitating data management for each project.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate dialogue between internal stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication of project status.
  • Liaison: Serve as a liaison between departments to control accountabilities and deliverables.
  • Follow-up: Maintain follow-up communication with utility companies as necessary.
  • Deadlines: Monitor and communicate deadlines for utility applications to ensure timely completion.
  • Field Work: Understand the scope of work and schedule field work for assigned tasks.
  • Document Tracking: Upload and track utility documents for applications.
  • Compliance Documents: Submit critical project-specific compliance documents to utilities, REC registries, and other administrative or quasi-administrative bodies.
  • Team Support: Provide support to Utility Project Manager, Senior Project Coordinator, and NES teams as needed.
  • Financial Assistance: Analyze project utility costs to assist finance department with budgeting.
  • Process Improvement: Revise and improve project process-related documents and training materials to enhance efficiency.
  • Purchase Orders: Create and follow up on Purchase Orders for any project-specific payments.Required Skills and Qualifications:
