Job Title: Utilities Project Coordinator

The Utilities Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing solar projects through the utility application process, ensuring successful transition into the construction phase. Effective relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders is essential for problem-solving and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Lead intake meetings from Land Sales to utilities.
  • Perform basic due diligence on project documents.
  • Initiate the utility application process and track progress according to established procedures.
  • Submit project applications to the utility company.
  • Manage NES databases for utility companies and projects, facilitating data management.
  • Coordinate dialogue between internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication of project status.
  • Act as liaison between departments to control accountabilities and deliverables.
  • Follow up with utility companies as necessary.
  • Monitor and communicate deadlines for utility applications.
  • Understand project scope and schedule field work for assigned tasks.
  • Upload and track utility documents for applications.
  • Submit critical project compliance documents to utilities, REC registries, and administrative bodies.
  • Provide support to Utility Project Manager, Senior Project Coordinator, and NES teams as needed.
  • Analyze project utility costs to assist finance department with budgeting.
  • Develop and improve project process-related documents and training materials.
  • Create and follow up on Purchase Orders for project-specific payments.
