Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our distributed engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive manual test strategies, with exposure to automation testing.

You will work closely with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure web and mobile applications.

This role is based on remote full-time work and requires the candidate to be available in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop detailed manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
  2. Conduct functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and smoke testing across multiple platforms.
  3. Maintain and manage bug tracking and test case management tools.
  4. Perform API testing using Postman, validating endpoints, payloads, status codes, and authentication workflows.
  5. Ensure complete test coverage of features in sprint cycles using Agile methodologies.
  6. Log detailed bug reports and track defect resolution through the lifecycle.
  7. Participate in requirements analysis and design reviews to provide QA perspective.
  8. Support and maintain automation scripts or test suites using Selenium or similar frameworks.
  9. Collaborate with developers and DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines.
  10. Take ownership of assigned QA projects and contribute to improving quality processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing.
  2. Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
  3. Proficient in creating complex test cases for web and mobile platforms.
  4. Familiarity with RESTful API testing and Postman.
  5. Experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools.
  6. Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
  7. Ability to write basic automation scripts using Selenium or similar.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  9. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead QA discussions.
