About the Role
- This position involves submitting and tracking medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring claims are accurate and comply with payer requirements.
- You will be responsible for recording payments and adjustments into the billing system.
- You will review and address claim denials and rejections by analyzing the reasons for denial, correcting issues, and resubmitting claims.
- Frequent follow-ups on outstanding accounts are necessary.
- You will reconcile accounts to ensure all payments, adjustments, and write-offs are accurately recorded.
- Preparing and reviewing reports on accounts receivable is also required.
- Ensuring that all billing practices comply with healthcare policies is a critical aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate data entry and meticulous record-keeping are essential.
- Understanding codes for claim submissions and denials is crucial.
- Effective communication with insurance companies is vital.
- Analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies or patterns is necessary.
- Familiarity with billing software is required.
- Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is necessary, with experience in AR management.
