Program Officer - South Asia and Mongolia Job Description
">The role of the Program Officer is to support the Country Program Manager in managing program finance and administration, providing support in Australia Awards Scholarships, Short Course Awards, and Australian Professional Opportunities management. The officer will also monitor and evaluate the program, maintain alumni engagement, and communicate with different target audiences and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field such as Development Studies, Development Communications, Business Management, or a related social science discipline. They will also possess excellent communication skills and experience working effectively across cultures with diverse clients. Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills are essential, along with high-level English writing and speaking skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience writing reports for clients and key stakeholders. A high standard of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, internet, and email usage, is required. Experience in data entry and data management is also beneficial. Knowledge of practical business principles and practice is necessary, as well as demonstrated sensitivity to gender and inclusion.
A post-graduate qualification in one of the listed fields is desirable. Experience in consulting and negotiating with clients, stakeholders, and team members is valuable. Familiarity with development priorities in Pakistan is also an asset.
This is a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027. The position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.
