We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development life cycle, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Test Planning and Execution: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules.
- Testing Methodologies: Define and execute testing methodologies including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with development and product teams to align testing objectives with business and technical requirements.
- Manual and Automated Testing: Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects while working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of complex issues and provide actionable insights.
- Test Reporting: Prepare and share detailed test reports, defect metrics, and quality status updates with stakeholders.
- Test Automation: Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and test coverage.
- Framework Optimization: Continuously optimize the test automation framework.
- Tool Research: Research and recommend new testing tools, frameworks, and best practices to strengthen QA processes.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Design and Code Reviews: Participate in design and code reviews, ensuring quality considerations are integrated early in the development lifecycle.
- Quality Advocacy: Advocate for quality across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Agile Ceremonies: Actively engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth QA integration.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve QA standards, processes, and tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Expertise: Proven expertise in both manual and automated testing.
- Automation Tools: Strong experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- API Testing: Proficiency in API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Skills:
- QA Methodologies: Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation.
- Agile Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Preferred:
- Performance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Cloud Environments: Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Security Testing: Knowledge of security testing practices.
