MEP Engineer Wanted

The Balqees Welfare Foundation seeks a highly skilled MEP engineer to plan, design, execute, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in building projects.

This role requires coordination with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration and efficiency of MEP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Planning:
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Analyze project requirements and ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Develop layouts using CAD and BIM software.
  • Project Execution & Supervision:
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems on-site.
  • Ensure quality and safety compliance during all phases of MEP works.
  • Review and approve MEP subcontractor shop drawings and materials.
  • Coordination:
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to ensure integration of systems.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical input on MEP aspects.
  • Cost & Resource Management:
  • Estimate costs and prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for MEP systems.
  • Monitor MEP budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  • Oversee routine maintenance and resolve system failures.
  • Propose upgrades or retrofitting solutions for older systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Professional certification or license is a plus.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international MEP codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and team coordination abilities.

This is a full-time position at Balqees Welfare Foundation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
