Job Title: Cybersecurity Leadership Role

About the Position

This critical cybersecurity leadership role involves overseeing and continuously improving an organization's cybersecurity posture, monitoring, and control framework. The successful candidate will ensure that effective security risk management practices are integrated into IT and business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to contribute to security direction and provide technical guidance on current and future technical security directions.
  • Act as a cybersecurity subject matter expert throughout projects lifecycle, including functional requirements, design specifications, testing and quality assurance, implementation and support.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and deploy security tools and techniques to enhance the organization's ability to protect its assets and infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of relevant IT systems and security controls.
  • Assess and capture security requirements within the context of enterprise application architecture.
  • Ensure that application development and deployment meet organizational security standards.
  • Provide input to design and application architectural reviews.
  • Report on risks, risk mitigations, and residual business risks.
  • Communicate findings and strategy to client stakeholders, including technical staff, executive leadership, and legal counsel.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a Security Manager/Analyst Role.
  • Experience working in a large international organization or network is preferred.
  • Experience with IT security assessments, common assessment tools, and communicating assessment results to diverse audiences is required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Able to explain and deliver technical solutions in a practical way.
  • Able to manage multiple projects involving various stakeholders and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, and penetration testing skills is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
