Medical Documentation Assistant Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to fill this critical support role in our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling Medical Documents:
Receive, organize, and digitize medical records and reports into secure electronic systems.
Data Entry:
Accurately enter patient information, visit summaries, and test results into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Document Review:
Verify that all documents are complete, properly labeled, and organized.
Filing and Maintenance:
Maintain and retrieve medical documents as needed, ensuring both digital and physical files are up-to-date.
Team Support:
Assist medical staff and administrative teams with documentation-related tasks.
Privacy Compliance:
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies to protect patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
Basic computer knowledge and typing skills
Willingness to learn medical terminology and healthcare systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
High school diploma or equivalent (medical or administrative coursework is beneficial)
