Warehouse Assistant Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient management of goods stored in the warehouse. This includes assisting the supervisor in implementing warehouse procedures, maintaining accurate stock records, and supervising casual labor working in the warehouse.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement warehouse procedures as per international guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate stock records by item and project.
  • Supervise casual labor working in the warehouse, as well as visitors.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for all commodities, including temperature and humidity control.


Compliance and Audit Controls:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring compliance with international policies and procedures, donor rules, and local laws and regulations. This includes timely submission or availability of mandatory reports to the country management team.

Fraud Prevention:
The Warehouse Assistant is committed to fraud prevention, detection, reporting, and risk reduction as per international policies and procedures, donor rules, and local laws and regulations.

Logistics Management & Information System (LMIS):
The Warehouse Assistant uses software solutions in a consistent and accurate manner to manage logistics and information systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related area.
  • 6 months experience in Warehouse and/or Logistics.
  • Good interpersonal and team skills.
  • Commitment to and understanding of international humanitarian principles.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to integrate and work well within multi-ethnic and multicultural teams.
  • Ability to work in harsh conditions, often in remote areas.
