Warehouse Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate warehouse processes from inbound management to stock handling, storing, and order dispatching on time.
  • Ensure warehouse operations meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Recommend and implement operational improvements.
  • Manage Workplace Safety & Health procedures to ensure department compliance with regulations.
  • Optimize resource allocation for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to manage inventory levels, minimize waste and shrinkage, and implement returns and refunds processes.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate physical and system stock variations.
  • Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Oversee periodic facility maintenance and escalate any issues to the relevant team.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order dispatch.
  • Monitor and prevent delivery of expired or damaged products.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of operations, supply chain management, and customer service principles.
  • Familiarity with local industry legislation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including vendor relationships and community engagement.
  • Working knowledge of performance metrics and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and demand forecasting tools.
  • Effective manpower planning and scheduling skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
