Vice President - International Development

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our international development efforts in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and development, with experience working in South Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve education outcomes in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
  2. Build capacity of country NGO staff through training and mentorship.
  3. Establish partnerships with local NGOs and government agencies to enhance our impact.
  4. Nurture relationships with donor organizations and individuals in South Asia to support our mission.
  5. Monitor and evaluate program progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  6. Bridge the gap between our programs in Pakistan and Afghanistan, promoting collaboration and synergy.

Requirements:

  1. Masters degree from a reputable university in international development or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience working in international development, preferably in South Asia.
  3. Strong understanding of education policies and practices in South Asia.
  4. Fluency in English and proficiency in Urdu or Dari.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  6. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
