We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Vice President - Charitable Contributions and Volunteering Engagement.
Principal Responsibilities- Drive implementation of HSBC's key volunteering and CSR initiatives across locations, focusing on measurable impact and employee engagement. Manage relationships with NGO partners and deliver programs aligned with HSBC's net zero and ESG goals.
- Implement the volunteering engagement strategy across all GSC locations. Ensure all CSR and volunteering activities comply with HSBC's Financial Crime Risk (FCR) framework, policies, and reputational standards.
- Collaborate with FCC advisory, CMAT, and risk teams to review new initiatives and partnerships. Support internal control reviews, due diligence, and audit requirements related to community and charitable activities.
- Identify and mitigate reputational risks in program design and execution. Work closely with the GSC India Philanthropy lead to develop strategies for charitable donations, grants, and community investment budgets for GSC India.
- Generate and present management information (MI) and dashboards on CSR/volunteering metrics, supporting net zero and ESG goals. Maintain accurate MI reporting on volunteering hours, participation, and outcomes linked to sustainability targets.
- Collaborate with Corporate Sustainability, FCC Advisory, CMAT, Internal Communications, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated program delivery. Act as a liaison across GSC locations to facilitate knowledge sharing and standardization of best practices.
- Maintain and update the Department Instruction Book (DIB) for effective management of GSC CSR activities. Ensure all communication channels comply with Group Brand guidelines.
- Implement the Charitable Giving Policy, screen NGO partners, and seek advice from FCC Advisory and CMAT reviews related to charitable contributions.
- Manage communication around CSR efforts, volunteering opportunities, impact stories, and employee recognition. Create content such as impact stories and volunteer spotlights to highlight contributions and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Sustainability team to support volunteering programs and ensure delivery through the Global Corporate Sustainability Manual and related initiatives.
