Accounting and Finance Expert

This role involves providing expert-level support in accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The Accounting and Finance Expert will work closely with management to analyze accounting data and prepare reports for different business units.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. They will also document financial transactions by entering account information, recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting reports, and summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.

Maintaining accounting controls is also a key aspect of this role, including preparing and recommending policies and procedures. The Accounting and Finance Expert will guide accounting clerical staff to fulfill desired reports and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze accounting data and prepare reports for different business units
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries
  • Document financial transactions
  • Recommend financial actions based on accounting reports
  • Maintain accounting controls
  • Guide accounting clerical staff
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Expert-level accounting and financial skills
  • Able to report directly to the Head of Department about financial and accounting discrepancies
  • Good knowledge of cost accounting
  • Ability to train staff on accurate financial reporting
  • Self-Starter with minimal supervision required
  • Efficient in Excel
  • Good skill in report writing
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting
  • Previous experience in the food and garments business is a plus
