Empowering Deaf and Blind Communities through Language Access

The deaf and blind community worldwide is in need of immediate access to Scripture. Wycliffe Associates is working on Bible translation projects using Symbolic Universal Notation (SUN), which provides this access.
Native or bilingual Urdu speakers are sought to translate an English training manual into Urdu for use by teachers in deaf and blind education programs in Urdu-speaking regions.
Responsibilities:
- Translate the English training manual into clear, accurate, and concise Urdu.
- Collaborate with project team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Urdu.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Access to a computer and internet connection.
- Ability to commit approximately 10-12 hours of service per week.
This work will be done remotely and may take several months to complete. Volunteers can contribute their language skills to help bring the Gospel to those who are blind and deaf.
