Job Title:

Mental Health Programme Leader

We are seeking an exceptional professional to lead our Mental Health Programme in Pakistan. As a seasoned programme leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our mental health initiatives, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and impact.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in programme management, leadership, and team building. You will work closely with our fundraising team to identify and pursue funding opportunities, develop programme proposals, and ensure effective project management and evaluation.

You will also collaborate with our programmes team to design and develop new projects, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement strategies. Your strong analytical and influencing skills will enable you to drive change within internal and external teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programme strategies aligned with the British Asian Trust's Theory of Change and Pakistan Mental Health Strategy.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of programme activities to achieve desired outcomes and impact.
  • Manage programme budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure effective delivery and adherence to organisational policies.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including implementing partners, funders, government agencies, community organisations, external sectoral experts, and other partners.
  • Represent the organisation at conferences, meetings, and public events to promote our programmes and build strategic alliances.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public health, psychology, or social sciences.
  • Demonstrable experience in programme management, leadership, and team building, preferably in the mental health sector.
  • Strong analytical, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including language proficiency that reflects partner organisations' preferences.
  • Ability to work independently, with conflicting demands, in a high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy.
  • Understanding of financial planning and budgeting.
  • Upholds the highest ethical standards and leads organisational safeguarding strategies.
