As a leader in the pharmacy industry, this role plays a pivotal part in overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless execution and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Supervise, train and foster growth among pharmacists, technicians and support staff to improve team performance.
  • Manage staffing levels, schedule shifts and drive customer satisfaction through workflow efficiency.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Oversee medication inventory, maintain cost efficiency and minimize waste by ordering and procuring medications as necessary.
  • Conduct regular audits on expired medications, maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the pharmacy operates in line with safety standards, quality control protocols and local, state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain transparent and accurate records of prescriptions and medications dispensed.
  • Patient Care: Provide guidance on prescription usage, potential drug interactions and promote informed decision-making for improved health outcomes.
  • Assist in immunization services, health screenings and other patient care services to enhance the overall experience.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage budgets, controlling costs and optimizing revenue streams to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Review pricing to ensure competitiveness in the market while maintaining profit margins.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and achieve shared goals.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, insurance providers and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Quality Control: Implement safety protocols for medication handling, storage and disposal, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Regularly audit processes to ensure quality standards are met and continuously improve workflow efficiency.
  • Technology and Systems Management: Oversee pharmacy management software and ensure systems are up to date to streamline operations.
  • Monitor electronic health records and ensure accurate processing of prescription information.
  • Leadership and Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to improve overall performance, customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the pharmacy's reputation and expand its services.
  • Education and Training: Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and provide ongoing education to staff on new products, regulatory changes and customer service practices.
